2010 Spring Fling Bidding Instructions
| -All initial bids MUST be made in person or by phone on or before Sunday evening 5:00pm (EST), April 25th, 2009. All calves will be bid off with the exception of calves sold at BUY CALF NOW prices! |

-Bidding for all calves are as follows: The sale is a private treaty bid sale. There are various base prices. Bids will be kept on a bid board, this website, and paper. We will try to keep the bid board and website up to date, but if you are interested in a calf, be sure to ask where that calf is on price. You may be in on a calf by being the next minimum bid or you can bid more than the minimum (Some people know what they think a calf is worth and don't like phone calls). The winner is the party that bids the most on that calf. When it is your turn to bid, we will call you. Make sure that you answer the phone when we call. We have the right to skip you or take you out of the bidding process if you do not answer your phone! -Bidding increments are a $100 minimum up to $2000; $250 minimum after that- |
| - Alternate calf numbers are allowed in case you drop out on your first choice. These calf numbers must be turned in, however, by the close of the sale Sunday evening! |
| - All calves may be purchased at the BUY CALF NOW price from 4/15/2010 at 12:01am and 4/24/2010 at 11:59pm. A calf is purchased at the BUY CALF NOW price when 10% of the BUY CALF NOW price is put down on that calf. Calves bought at the BUY CALF NOW price will not be in the bid off on the 25th. If you are bidding on a calf that gets bought at the BUY CALF NOW price, you may drop to your alternate calf. All other rules below apply to BUY CALF NOW CALVES. |
| - REMEMBER! You do not need to be present to bid, all bidding will be done over the phone. |
| -Calves will be bid off as quickly as time allows. Please be easily accessible by the phone number you provide us. |
| - Cattle may be viewed by appointment prior to the sale date or at the farms on the directions page anytime after April 11th or by appointment. |
| -A purchase agreement will be mailed to each buyer following the sale. Ten Percent of the purchase price is due within a week of the completion of the sale. The Cattle CO reserves the right to refuse bid acceptance. Failure to honor purchase contract will result in legal action and your name will be added to a public "Poor customer" list for the cattle world to see. |
| -Calves may be picked up anytime, but NO LATER than July 15th. Payment in full is due at the time of pick up. Payment may be made by CASH, PERSONAL CHECK, or ALL MAJOR CREDIT CARDS. If the calf is not paid for in full by July 15th, that calf will be for sale, and the down payment forfeited. |
