The Cattle CO

-Tag 19 - Hillbilly Deluxe x Who Made Who  - Mar.

Hillbilly Deluxe that is out of the cow that the rock star steer was out of last year.  That steer went on to do a lot of winning out east and this one keeps getting better every day.  He has great muscle shape, is super sound, and is good ribbed and flanked.

- The western calves are in and ready to sell.  Remember, as in years past, these are LOAD, PAY, and GO.  Fall private treaty sale starts 9/17/2010.  Check back very often as we will update the site almost daily with new pictures and mark sold beside the ones that are.  These are a very select group of steers and heifers that have been hand picked and bought privately from ranches in Iowa, South Dakota, and North Dakota.  We are clipping and picturing these calves as quickly as time allows, and they are selling right out of the clipping chute.  These cattle were weaned 9/12/2010 and trucked home 24 hours.  They were then vaccinated, dewormed, and heads and tails clipped the next day.  Day three we started clipping and breaking.  One week later, they are filling up and looking great!  Stop in or call Jake at 937-725-5687 to make an appointment to see the cattle.  They are priced to sell and we need to move them quick as grain farming will be starting very soon.  - Jake Osborn

- Tag 23 - Point Taken x Dejong Maine  - March

This steer had a lot of fans even before he was clipped and pictured.  He is the cell phone pick from my first trip out west that ran in the Ohio State Fair ad.  This steer will make an awesome state fair steer next summer.  He is stout and cool and he knows it!

-Tag 17 - Hillbilly Deluxe x Dejong Cow  - March

This steer is one of the thicker calves in the group, and also one of the coolest with a neat blazed face.  He will be competitive in a hair show up north, but is thick enough for a slick show down south.

-Tag 24 - Ozzie x PB Hereford  - Purebred April

Purebred steer that is young, but has all of the pieces to make a great breed steer.  This one is going to be very fun later on this year.  Check out the natural thickness in this purebred!

-Tag 18 - Total Solution x Chi/Angus  - March

This steer is out of a first calf heifer.  He is very soft ribbed, sound, and Shaggy.  This is one that will feed well for any county fair.

-Tag 22 - Unforgiven x Who Made Who  - April

Wow!  Not too much else to say about this steer.  He may be one of the youngest in the group, but definitely one of the best!  Stout, Thick, Square, Hairy, Sound, FreakY necked are all terms that describe this steer.  A favorite of most that stop.

- Tag 5 - Dr. Who x Heatseeker 108 Donor  - Valentine's Day---------Val is going to make a great breeding show heifer and even better cow.  Her full sibs average $3500+ out of the pasture and the last heifer to show was reserve Chi in the BEST program for Dwight Hamilton.  That heifer's first calf paid for her and she is making one of Dwight's better cows now. Val is special to me as it is the last ET calf I have that Carl Evans raised for me.  I want to find Val a very good home or otherwise she'll just stay around.

Tag 14 - Verizon x Wells Fargo  - March 12th

Verizon heifer that has a ton of volume and capacity as well as that extra show ring look and eye appeal that the white gives her.  She was extra shaggy all summer and is really starting to get it all back.  14 will show well, but the real money with her may be as a bred heifer next fall.

Tag 15 - All Aboard x Northern Light  - March 20th

I'm All Aboard and all in as a fan of this one for a BIG time show heifer.  Even though she just was weaned and came in, she is puppy dog tame already.  That's a bonus, because she is square made, has great feminine muscle shape, and is great fronted and super sound.  She also is as good in her rib and flank shape and you could draw one.  Look in and call fast, she'll have a new home pretty quick.

-Tag 20 - Unforgiven x Chi/Maine  - March

I followed a few Unforgiven steers last year and really liked the way they fed through the year.  I had to have a couple this year to sell.  Tag 20 is the biggest boned steer in the entire group.  He is super square hipped, long quartered, and deep flanked.
